Construction Law Webinar

November 26 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

$30.00 – $95.00

Construction Law Webinar –
“Certificates of Merit in Texas: An Analysis of the Legislative Changes and Potential Litigation Impacts”

Tuesday, November 26, 2019  ♦  12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Central

Download the registration flyer or register securely online below.

About the Webinar: Legislative changes effective September 1, 2019 impose additional requirements for third‐party claimants seeking damages against architects, engineers, landscape architects and land surveyors. The statutory changes provide broader protections for these professionals and impose a greater burden on third‐party claimants. Whether the statutory changes are sufficient to clarify previously existing ambiguities without creating a chilling impact on third‐party claims remains an open question. (Eligible for 1.0 hour MCLE credit.)

Presented by: Tonya P. Johannsen, Estes Thorne & Carr PLLC, Dallas, Texas

Co-Sponsored by the Construction Law Foundation of Texas and The Construction Law Section of the State Bar of Texas
